If your rechargeable Vision 180 Trimmer does not seem to take a charge, check the following before returning it for repair:
Check outlet current by plugging in another appliance.
Make sure the outlet simply is not connected to a light switch which turns the power at the outlet off when lights are turned off.
Be sure the trimmer is properly connected to the recharging transformer, all connections are secure and the switch on the trimmer is turned "O" OFF.
f your electricity is connected to a master power switch, we suggest the trimmer be disconnected from the charger anytime the master switch is off. Leaving the unit plugged into a dead outlet or an unplugged charger will drain the battery.
If trimmer does not run and it is completely charged, turn the unit "l" ON and pinch or push the blades manually. (Oil may have dried out between blades, so they may be temporarily stuck together.)
If the light bulb fails do not attempt to replace it. It may be replaced by the Wahl repair department.
DISPOSAL/REPLACEMENT OF NI-CD BATTERY
CONTAINS SEALED, RECHARGEABLE NICKEL-CADMIUM BATTERY. MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.
Under normal use, your battery has a 3 to 5 year life, but if replacement is necessary, follow these steps:
Remove battery compartment cover from the back of the trimmer by removing the small Phillips-head screw and lifting the cover up and off.
Remove battery from the unit and dispose of properly. If there is no disposal method available in your area, you can mail your batteries to Wahl Clipper Corporation for proper disposal, or call 1-800-8-BATTERY for information on battery recycling in your area.
Replace with a new AA NICKEL-CADMIUM battery only. To obtain replacement batteries, call Wahl at (815) 625-6525. Ask for Part No. 93154.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to insert the negative (-) end of the battery first so that is depresses the spring at the top of the battery compartment. Then slide the positive (+) end into position.
Replace the battery compartment cover and screw.
Connect battery charger to unit and fully charge battery before using. Make sure the switch is in the "O" OFF position.
